With the Fluval G6 prefilter insert, dissolved impurities are filtered out of the fresh or saltwater aquarium, the impurities remain in the folds until the insert is removed and rinsed off. This pre-filter process means that fewer dirt particles are dissolved in the aquarium water. This results in better biological and chemical filtration.
