JBL Cermec

The JBL Cermec is a filter medium made of porous ceramic hollow bodies for use in external filters of fresh and saltwater aquariums and in the pond and is used for the biological degradation of pollutants.

Clean and healthy water
Plant, feed residues and metabolic products deteriorate the quality of the aquarium water. Good water quality is necessary to promote the health of fish and plants in the aquarium.

This can be achieved with aquarium filters. The filters suck in the aquarium water and pull the dirt and waste materials out of the water. Filters also provide an ideal habitat for cleaning bacteria and can be fitted with various filter materials to achieve a specific purpose.

The porous ceramic hollow bodies are used for the biological degradation of pollutants and achieve an intensive water clarification through the bio-filtering.

Application
The porous hollow bodies favour the settlement of useful cleaning bacteria and protect the biological filter material as a pre-filter mass. The aquarium water becomes crystal clear and ideal conditions for fish and plants arise.
