Description

The sera pH measuring electrode is an electrode for use with pH measuring devices for permanent checking of the pH value in freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

Determine water values
pH value, carbonate hardness (KH), ammonium and nitrite are among the most important water parameters. Extreme deviations from the target values can suddenly become an acute danger to life. Whenever the appearance or behaviour of the fish becomes noticeable, or other peculiarities (e.g. sudden death of the aquatic plants) in the aquarium are noticed, the basic water values should be checked first. The easy-to-use test strips can be used for routine control. For more precise results, we recommend testing the sera aqua-test box in a sturdy plastic case. Total hardness, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, iron, copper, chlorine, silicate and oxygen are also known to the experienced aquarist as average values in his aquarium. Checking these values now and then is usually sufficient. If there is suspicion (e.g. signs of poisoning, algae problems, shortness of breath), these parameters should be examined more closely.

The sera pH measuring electrode is a German-made precision device that permanently measures the pH value in fresh and salt water, as well as in the garden pond. It has a BNC plug and 1.5 m cable and is suitable for all commercially available pH measuring devices equipped with a BNC contact, such as the sera pH meter or the seramic pH controller.
