Description
'Hygrophila polysperma' is considered to be an ideal candidate for first-time plantings in aquariums. The undemanding stem plant quickly absorbs excess nutrients and is thus a serious competitor for algae. The gorgeous green foliage features subtle white veins which lend it an elegant touch. As it is a fast grower, it is suitable for the middle and background. Occasional pruning will stimulate dense branching. It is very robust and easy to care for and thus suitable for beginners and professionals alike.

This plant has many advantages and is a definite candidate for beginners! It can be combined easily with other plants as it looks distinctive yet subtle enough not to steal the limelight from other plants. Furthermore, its dense branches are a great place for small aquarium dwellers to hide and rest.
