Description

This set of 3 Aegagropila linnaei transorms your underwater world into an enchanting habitat for fish, shrimps and more. The pretty green balls are extremely decorative and are suitable for the foreground of your aquarium. Aegagropila linnaei is a filamentous freshwater green algae and also occurs in nature as free-floating tufts or balls. It is found in lakes in Austria, Estonia, Iceland and Japan. It is not very demanding and grows very slowly which is plus, given its spherical shape.

  • Light requirements: sunny to shady, adaptable
  • Optimal temperature: low to medium
  • Water values: 6 to 8.5 pH, hardness medium to very hard
  • Addition of nutrients and CO₂: not necessary, will be rewarded
  • Propagation: division
