The B-Box filter sponge works like a pre-filter and keeps out waste water. Clean the filter sponge once a month with water from the aquarium to ensure the best efficiency. Replce the filter sponge every 3 to 5 months.
Note:
Rinse the filter sponge under running water before inserting it into the aquarium.
