Exo Terra Bamboo Forest Floor, 8.8L

Multi-layered Bamboo Forest Floor is a substrate for terrariums which you can use to simulate the forest floor found in natural bamboo forests and recreate the ideal environment for animals that live in such forests.

The substrate consists of two layers just as in a natural bamboo forest. The soft top layer is made up of sun-dried bamboo leaves which are biodegradable, compostable and free from chemicals.

The lower layer is the actual substrate itself and consists of 100% natural, eco-friendly and biodegradable materials such as coconut husk fibre. A mixture of short fibres and coco peat is created when coconut husk fibre is ground resulting in grain sizes from coarse granules to finely ground fibre. This improves the drainage properties of the substrate which aerates plant roots better.

The substrate has strong hygroscopic properties. While the bottom layer stores moisture and releases it to the environment as needed, the decorative top layer prevents the substrate from drying out.

The high-quality substrate has been heat-treated to prevent contaminating terrariums with bacteria.

Instructions for use:

Spread out a 5-10 cm thick layer on the floor of the terrarium. Moisten the substrate if necessary. Replace the substrate if it gets soiled.
