Description
Exo Terra's Desert Sand Terrarium Substrate creates a beautiful and natural desert environment in terrariums. This terrarium substrate consists of natural desert sand that is sifted to remove impurities. It contains no added dyes or chemicals and the grains are of uniform size.
This sand has a very natural look and is an excellent heat conductor. It allows the reptiles to dig and burrow as they would in the wild. The warm sand is also particularly suitable for laying eggs. Desert sand is ideal as a terrarium substrate because there are little or no chances for pests to survive in it.
