The Tetra Pond AlgoFree is an anti-algae agent for the prevention of algae problems in the garden pond.

Garden ponds are a fascinating design element in the garden. The plants in and at the pond are not only beautiful to look at, they are also an important contribution to the natural ecological balance. Algae are among the lower plants and are also a completely natural part of the biotope garden pond. However, if they have the opportunity to multiply, algae can become a real problem. Massive cloudiness ("green water"), but also water values in critical areas can be the result. The best way to combat algae is prevention. When algae become a nuisance, the cause is usually an excess of nutrients in the pond. It occurs for example with too dense fish stock or with too much debris and dead plant residues on the pond bottom. The lack of aquatic plants that compete with the algae for nutrients also promotes over-fertilisation. Sensible algae prevention means above all: avoiding excess nutrients in the water!

Tetra Pond AlgoFree eliminates green water caused by floating algae and is used for prophylaxis even at low temperatures by preventing the first spring algae spurt. AlgoFree is not suitable for sturgeons. The mode of action is simple: the active ingredients of AlgoFree attach themselves to the algae cell wall and bond firmly to it. The cell wall tears open and the algae are killed. The dead algae residues with the attached active ingredient molecules become microbiological. AlgoFree is compatible with aquatic plants, animals and microorganisms. The effect occurs after a few days.

Application
Shake bottle well before use! Add 25 ml AlgoFree to 1,000 litres of pond water with the measuring cup. Repeat application with the same dosage on the following day. Distribute evenly in the water with a stick or similar for optimal effect. Remove as much algae as possible before and after the treatment with a landing net, as dead algae deteriorate the water quality. Provide adequate oxygenation during treatment. After adding the product, do not filter through UV clarifier and activated carbon for at least 7 days. In the case of strong algae growth, it is advisable to add half the amount after approx. 2 weeks.
