Description

The relatively easy-to-care for Cryptocoryne nevelli, also available in stores as Cryptocoryne x willisii 'nevellii' or Nevellis water trumpet, comes from Southeast Asia and tolerates soft to hard water. The lawn-forming rosette plant that grows from 5 to approx. 7 cm comes into its own in the foreground of the aquarium.

Cryptocoryne nevelli is a rosette plant in terms of growth form. With CO2 and a good supply of nutrients, it grows a little faster under medium-strong light than in low-tech aquariums and is good at removing soft to hard water.

Cryptocoryne nevelli reproduces through daughter plants at the rosette base. Simply detach and plant, that's it. Not really laborious, but because the plant grows so slowly, you still need patience.

Our expert Oliver Knott recommends:
Over time, Cryptocoryne nevelli forms a rather low lawn in the foreground of the aquarium, but you need a little patience. This Cryptocoryne is also really great as a loosening up in a varied foreground planting.
