Hobby Zeo Carbon Aktiv is a combined filter substrate for use in external filters and filter basins of freshwater and saltwater aquariums, which counteracts the degradation of pollutants and removes odours.

Zeo Carbon Aktiv is a highly effective combination filter substrate made of high quality activated carbon and particularly pure zeolite. It removes odours, drug residues, chlorine and organic waste that are created by conversion. It also lowers the phosphate and ammonia levels and promotes rapid bacterial culture. These positive properties inhibit the growth of algae and make the water clear and toxic-free. However, when treating fish with medication, they should not be filtered through charcoal. The use of the filter material in mesh bags is very practical.
