Description

Corals can sometimes die off in well-functioning marine aquariums even in the absence of classic parasite infestations as the root cause. A bacterial imbalance may be the cause - and this is where Byotic by Nyos® comes into play!

It contains highly concentrated, probiotic bacteria that restore the natural bacterial balance without increasing the phosphate content. Byotic can be used in acute cases but also as a preventive measure to support coral vitality and improve polyp expansion in corals.

Dosage & application:

  • In acute cases: 1 g/litre daily for 3-5 days, then 0.5 g/100 litres daily until the symptoms have disappeared.
  • As a preventive measure: 0.5 g/100 litres once a week.
  • Dissolve the measured amount in aquarium water in a separate container and then add back to the aquarium.

Note:

  • Switch off the UV clarifier during treatment.
  • A higher dosage may result in a slight drop in nutrient levels (nitrate & phosphate).
