Dennerle Plants Taxiphyllum sp. 'Giant' CUP

Taxiphyllum sp. 'Giant' is similar to the popular Java moss but taller. Aquascapers appreciate the incredible adaptability of this moss. It can drape over stones, roots or decor and create striking aquascapes. It is however, not just attractive, but also offers small animals such as shrimps a great place to rest and take shelter. Plus, herbivores do not eat moss anyway. It can be planted on substrate or attached to the hardscape to form dense carpets. Fresh, clean water is a prerequisite for all types of mosses.

• Light requirements: very adaptable
• Optimal temperature: between 20 and 30 C
• Water values: adaptable, clean and fresh water
• Nutrient supply: not necessary, but will be amply rewarded
• Reproduction: division of the moss cushions
• Emersed growth: floor of wet terrariums

Tip: Moss begins to truly thrive after an acclimatisation period that can last a few weeks. Until then, leave it alone. Place it in a location where it can remain undisturbed.
