Anubias Juncus Repens

The easy-to-care-for creeping rush Juncus Repens from the USA prefers soft water. The 10 to 15 cm high grass plant really comes into its own in the foreground to the middle ground of the aquarium.

The grass-green stalks of the creeping Juncus Repens grow strictly upright and reach heights of 10 to 15 cm. This plant is characterised by the fact that it sprouts its daughter plants at the top of the shoot tips, which gives it a somewhat funny look.

You can simply cut or pinch off these daughter plants and then plant them to enlarge the group or to relocate a new group of creepers.

You can use a daughter plant to plant a lawn in the foreground of a large aquarium or use it to place tufts of grass between stones or roots in the middle distance.

Juncus Repens prefers soft water, medium-hard water works fine, but a low pH is better. Extra CO2 fertilisation is necessary for it. Juncus Repens grows quite compactly and quickly in medium-strong light.
