Aqua Rebell Skimmer Glass Small

The Aqua Rebell Skimmer Glass Small is made in Japanese style by hand from high-quality borosilicate glass in laboratory quality, for this reason each device is a unique piece.

The float at the top of the skimmer and the unit you use to adjust the relationship between surface skimming and suction in the lower area are made of highly transparent acrylic glass. The skimmer has a very low immersion depth - this is an advantage, especially in small aquariums. In order to work effectively, the external filter must have a delivery rate of at least 650 l / h, more is of course also possible.

The Aqua Rebell Skimmer Glass Small is connected to the external filter instead of the standard filter inlet. The skimmer works as a surface skimmer due to the pressure of the water flowing past. It is not only effective against spongy surface scum but also removes floating particles, foam and even plant residues and duckweed from the water surface.

The smallest aquarium inhabitants may be able to penetrate the suction slots, so we recommend covering these slots on the surface hood with a filter guard to protect baby shrimp or fish larvae from being sucked in.

Transparent, durable suction cups, with which the filter feed and surface suction device can be attached to the aquarium wall, are included.

Surface skin is not only unattractive, but it can also cause a lot of trouble in the aquarium because it can hinder gas exchange. Floating dirt and duckweed also affect the look in the aquarium - but that's what the skimmer takes care of.
