Description
Climacium japonicum is an attractive moss plant that is native to East Asia. Under suitable conditions, it grows taller - up to 10 cm - than other moss species. Once taller, it looks similar to a palm tree and is therefore also known as the palm moss. However, this attractive rarity is not suitable for permanent underwater planting. It is perfect for terrariums, wabi-Kusa, paludariums and mossariums. The moss thrives in a moderately moist, low-lime and nutrient-rich substrate in medium light.
- Light requirement: medium
- Optimal temperature: 4 to 29°C
- Substrate: low in lime, rich in nutrients
- Humidity: moderately moist
- Propagation: division
- Height: up to 10 cm
Note: The plant cups are grown in a laboratory. Aquatic plants grown in vitro culture are grown in sterile conditions. They are therefore also suitable for sensitive animals such as dwarf shrimps and can be used immediately. These in vitro plants harbour no snails or parasites. No pesticides have been used.
