Eheim Activated Carbon Mat (2422/24, 2124)

For adsorptive filtering, i.e. to remove chemical pollutants (such as chlorine, drug residues, etc.), there are special active carbon mats as an insert in the filter.

Adsorptive filtering is normally only necessary in the running-in phase of the aquarium or after the use of medication. The filter media should only be used for a limited period of approx. 4 weeks and then removed or replaced.
