Tetra Algizit is a tablet-based anti-algae treatment with strong active ingredients, designed for immediate use in cases of severe algae growth in freshwater aquariums.

Tetra Algizit works quickly to tackle stubborn and persistent algae problems, acting as an effective “emergency stop” when algae growth gets out of control. The tablets contain high-strength agents that act directly on heavy algae infestations without discolouring the water. Once the algae have died off, remove any plant debris or algae residues manually with a net to avoid affecting water values. Any suspended particles will be filtered out by the aquarium filter system.

Application:

• Dosage: Add 1 tablet of Tetra Algizit to 20 litres of aquarium water.
• Repeat: If necessary, the dosage can be repeated after 2 weeks.
• Placement: For optimum distribution of the active ingredient in the water, the tablet should be placed in an area with plenty of water movement.

Note:

• Filtering: Filtering via activated carbon or similar can impair the effect of the agent.
• UV clarifiers: UV clarifiers must be switched off during use.
• Water change: Do not change the water during treatment.
• Aeration: When using algaecides, aeration is required to ensure a sufficient oxygen supply.
• Algae residues: Dead algae should be removed mechanically with a landing net if possible, as they can impair the water quality.
• The product is suitable for use in aquariums with fish, plants and microorganisms.
