Tropic Marin Multi-Standard

Tropic Marin Multi-Standard is a laboratory-made and ICP-OES-tested reference solution for checking the functionality and accuracy of Tropic Marin test kits (Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, KH) and all other commercially available tests.

If a test loses its effectiveness due to incorrect storage conditions or high or low temperatures, it can display incorrect values. You can use the Reference Solution to check if your tests are still effective before you use them. If the target value and the measured value are not the same, you can calculate a correction factor that you can take into account and continue using the tests.

Instructions for use:

Carry out the measurement as described in the test instructions. This reference solution serves as a substitute for the water sample from the aquarium.

1. Use the syringe to remove the reference solution from the dosing chamber of the bottle.
2. Compare your reading to the target value given on the bottle.
3. If the values are the same, the test is OK and you don't have to do anything else. If the values do not match, you can use the following formula to find out the correction factor (you will need to multiply future measurements of aquarium samples by this correction factor):

Correction factor = target value / measured value

Note: Check your test kit every 2-4 weeks!
