Description
With the Tunze Quickphos you can quickly and reliably remove excess phosphate from your fresh and saltwater aquarium.
Although phosphates are among the plant nutrients, they have a rather negative effect in the aquarium. Excessive algae populations are usually the result, since the plants have a low need for phosphates. Very strong accumulations of phosphorus compounds therefore often lead to a sudden increase in algae. You can easily tolerate values of 0.5 mg / l in freshwater, but in seawater aquariums you should even be closer to 0.1 mg / l. Check the phosphate value regularly with a test.
With the Tunze Quickphos you can solve phosphate problems quickly and reliably. You can use the aluminium-based adsorbent granulate in both fresh and saltwater aquariums and thus remove phosphates, humic acids and organic pollutants. These pollutants are firmly bound to the surface of the Quickpho. Undesired algae growth is reduced and corals can develop their natural colours.
Suitable for two Tunze refills 870 or one 1670. The content corresponds to 800 g. The binding capacity of 1,000 g Tunze Quickphos is 8 g phosphate (PO4) in a very short time. The grain size is 4-6 mm.
