So that the plants in your aquarium show beautiful colours and grow together nicely, they depend on various factors to enable their photosynthesis. In addition to good lighting, they also need a nutrient-rich substrate and a carbon source. Some plants get their nutrients from the leaves, others also from the roots. The perfect combination of the necessary factors allows you to turn your aquarium into an eye-catcher with magnificent plant growth and breathtaking colours. The correct amount of CO2 in the water is of the utmost importance for aquarium plants. Carbon dioxide serves as a nutrient for the plants and only in this way enables their full development. Plants need CO2 for photosynthesis, in which they produce oxygen, which they release into the aquarium water. Good plant growth also prevents algae growth, removes pollutants and offers the animals retreat. Algae growth is inhibited because optimally supplied plants deprive the algae of their food base.

With the Nano CO2 Flipper, you effectively supply your aquarium with CO2. The CO2 bubbles emerge from the opening below the flipper and run up the stairs. Part of the CO2 is already dissolved in the aquarium water. Once at the top, they remain in the CO2 collection tray for a moment. They gradually diffuse into the aquarium water and are thus maximally dissolved. The safety design of the collection pan ensures that the small amounts of CO2 customary for nano aquariums are effectively dissolved, but at the same time that unwanted large amounts of CO2 are automatically discharged via the gas vent. The contents of delivery, therefore, includes 2 collection pans; the smaller one for 10-25 litre aquariums, the bigger one for 25- 40-litre aquariums. By simply counting the bubbles, the CO2 supply can also be checked and regulated. The decisive advantages over conventional CO2 diffusers with ceramic membranes: the nano-flipper does not generate any backpressure. It, therefore, reacts to changes in the pressure reducer. In this way, the required (small) amount of CO2 added can be set safely within a few minutes. The CO2 Nano Flipper consists of highly transparent, unbreakable plastic "Made in Germany" and can be combined with all commercially available CO2 supply systems. All CO2 hoses with an outer diameter of 6 mm can be used. Thanks to the three long-life suction cups, the flipper is child's play to install in the aquarium.

Rule of thumb for the basic setting
Start with about 1 bubble per minute per 10 litres of aquarium water, i.e. for a 30-litre aquarium, for example, about 3 bubbles per minute. The easiest way to measure the CO2 content is with the Crystal-Line CO2 long-term test Mini. If the test shows GREEN, the water contains exactly the right amount of CO2.
