JBL ProScape Mg Macroelements is a magnesium plant fertiliser for aquascaping aquariums and supplies plants with the necessary nutrients and prevents magnesium deficiency.
JBL ProScape Mg Macroelements adds magnesium to the aquarium water in the form of water-soluble magnesium salts. This gives the aquatic plants the necessary magnesium intake. Magnesium, as the central atom of chlorophyll, plays the decisive role in photosynthesis and thus in the energy production of the plant from light. In addition, magnesium takes on other important functions in controlling enzyme activity and other metabolic processes in the cells.
Since the specific consumption cannot be predicted exactly, we recommend regular checking of the nitrate and phosphate values, especially before each subsequent replenishment. The nutrient consumption across all required micro and macro elements is unpredictable, especially with some microelements, and depends heavily on the cultivated aquatic plants. At the very low concentrations, these microelements cannot be measured using aquarium tests. It is therefore advisable to prevent the accumulation of individual nutrients by regularly changing the water at a rate of 30-50% weekly and adding fertiliser with JBL ProScape Fe + Microelements in plant aquariums. JBL ProScape Mg Macroelements can be used safely in the invertebrate aquarium. The fertiliser is not harmful to shrimp, crayfish and snails.
To determine the exact fertiliser requirement taking into account the initial values of the aquarium water, the dosing calculator is recommended.
Plant genera that take up many nutrients via roots:
Echinodorus, Cryptocoryne, Vallisneria, Crinum, Nymphea
Plant genera that absorb nutrients through both leaves and roots:
Ludwigia, Limnophila, Hygrophila, Alternanthera, Cabomba
